Vino di Anna "Qvevri Rosso" 2017
This Nerello Mascalese, with a little bit of Alicante and Nerello
Cappuccio, was buried underground in the Georgian qvevri's that Anna and Eric placed in their cellar. This husband and wife duo practice biodynamics on their 6 hectare plot and create from them a few different organic, natural, oh so delicious wines. The wines are produced with minimal intervention, indigenous yeasts, no additives, no clarification or filtration and little or no SO2. This wine brings red fruits, a subtle tannic structure with that underlying mineral from Mt Etna.
