    Jean-Paul Brun produces age-worthy Beaujolais that does not follow the conventional standards the region is now known for, favoring a style that would have been more familiar before the arrival of industrial farming techniques, eschewing industrial yeast in favor of indigenous yeast. He started his Terres Dorees label in 1979. 

    His "L'Ancien" bottling is produced from old vines in granite and clay soils and aged in a combination of wood and cement, making a wine that is more "Cote D'or" in style than typical Beaujolais.
